Installing WNG Balance Rail Pins
For this task, you'll need WNG's Front & Balance Rail Pin Inserter Set:
Set the tool height
Place the balance rail tool on the old balance pin and adjust the tool to the height of the pin. Tighten the jam nut to fix this height.

Check the fit before installing pin
Check the fit of the new pin to the hole, there should only be .002 (.06mm) press fit. Check the hole size with calipers and compare with the balance pin size. If the hole is too tight, enlarge with the appropriate size drill. If the hole is too large, then glue size the hole with wood glue and water. (50/50 mix) Let dry before installing pins.
Installing balance pins
Use a rubber or plastic mallet to tap in the pins with the tool.

NOTE: Both the balance and front pin tools should have a leather punching glued inside the tools from the factory, if not it would be important to install a piece of leather to keep from damaging the pins.
